Kapitan Khlebnikov
The Kapitan Khlebnikov is a powerful working icebreaker designed for the challenging conditions in the seas of northern Siberia. Completely refurbished in 1992-93, the ship boasts 56 outside cabins and suites, all spacious and comfortable, all with private facilities. Public areas include a lounge, two dining rooms, digitally-equipped lecture room, small heated indoor pool and gymnasium, library, and sauna. The Khlebnikov also features a good polar library, an elevator, a small infirmary, six Zodiac landing craft, and two helicopters used for ice reconnaissance.

Cabins
- All cabins are outside with windows that can be opened for fresh air; private bathroom with shower, toilet, and wash-basin;
ample cupboard and drawer space; and a large desk. Electrical outlets are 220 volts/50 hz and take European-style two round
prong plugs.
- Each cabin has two lower beds, one of which is a sofa bed that will be made up for comfortable seating during the day.
- Standard cabins are approximately 135 square feet.
- All suites are approximately 285 square feet with a separated bedroom and living room. Corner suites have two large windows,
one facing the side and one facing forward.
Dining
- There are two dining rooms on board. Breakfast is served buffet-style, while lunch and dinner have table service.
- Most diets can be catered for on board with special dietary requests made in advance. However, kosher meals cannot be
provided.
- Coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day, and pastries are served in the afternoon.
Services
- Kapitan Khlebnikov carries a fleet of Zodiacs and two helicopters for both ice-reconnaissance and passenger excursions.
- Public spaces include a lecture room, bar, lounge, and library.
- Additional amenities include a sauna, small exercise room, indoor pool, and onboard shop carrying logo items, postcards, drug
store items, and film.
- There is laundry service (no dry cleaning) and a small medical clinic. Prices will be available on board.
- The U.S. dollar is the currency used on board.
