The Professor Multanovskiy / Akademik Shokalskiy were originally built in Finland for polar and oceanographic research.
They are small, nimble ice-strengthened
ships capable of
reaching the nooks and crannies
of Antarctica that many larger
ships cannot. Carrying a small
group of 48 travelers, the ships
enable access to many sights and
adventures others do not.
