National Geographic Explorer Cruise Review
Itinerary: Antarctica - The White Continent - January 2011
We had an incredible time in Antarctica. It surpassed our wildest expectations. The scientists, explorers, guides and naturalists were entertaining, extremely knowledgeable, funny and engaging. We learned much about global warming, penguins, seals, and killer whales.
The other guests were highly educated, friendly and affable. We made friends, for example, with a couple who were both particle physicists from Stanford. The other couple we became very close with were both surgeons.
The food was first class. We went on daily excursions and took incredible photos. We were in Category 4 cabin 104.
This is not a cruise, however, for anyone who goes for the booze, comedians, art auctions, and gambling.
I've attached a couple of photos for you to see.
