National Geographic Endeavour Cruise Review

Itinerary: Endeavour Galapagos - August 2011

National Geographic Endeavour

Linda, thank you for the bottle of wine! In fact we ordered more for our room later.

Everything went very well with our trip. No problems with the air travel. I bought a Red Carpet Club membership because of the 7 hour layover in Houston, which made it much nicer.

The hotel shuttle was there to pick us up at midnight.

Logistics on the ship/shore activities were flawless. We didn't participate in the water events (snorkeling, kayaking) but there was lots to do and see. We hiked, did zodiac rides, glass bottom boat. It was the perfect size boat; enough folks on board so you could find someone you enjoyed eating with. Met great, interesting folks. Having Jonathan Weiner there with his family was an added plus. I'll buy his wife's book on Darwin, Charles and Emma.

Cabin was more comfortable than I expected and there was room for everything. We only brought hand carry luggage. The location of the cabin #206, right by the reception desk and embarkation for zodiacs was perfect! Don't know why that room wasn't already taken; as I recall there were only 2 rooms left when we booked.

As well as the trip went, my husband hates air travel. I've decided however that I may travel with a girlfriend if he doesn't want to go.

Thanks for everything!
