Costa Rica Cruise Reviews: Sea VoyagerApril 2006I was excited to go to Costa Rica as my friends had been there. The small ship I wasn’t so sure of to start out with. But I LOVED IT !! You will too. YEAH, there were 5 pals my age, I am 12 and they are 12,13,13,9,14. There are some other kids but they are young. I was spring break for my school. Our ship was so cute. Made me feel rich and famous like I see on the Travel Channel. We got on the ship and unpacked, I shared a cabin with my brother. Blah on that. OMG they had a mock cocktail waiting for me when I came into the lounge, how neat is that. After dinner we got our snorkels and fins and some safety talk stuff. I couldn’t wait to get into the water. Day 2 I was in the first zodiac to the beach. We were able to hike, swim and kayak. It was the first time I was in a kayak. Jose gave me a talk and showed me how to do it. Getting in and out was hysterical. If was sure I was going to turn over but I didn’t. And even if I did who cares, the water is warm and blue. My new friends would get a good laugh. They promised us the banana boat later in the day but the water got a little rough and no thank you. Day 3 I got to go horse back riding on a ranch that used to owned by a king in the old days. It was beautiful and my horse was named Duermo. Margo my new friend who lives in Arizona said that means Sleeper, and she must have been right. My horse was the slowest of the group, I think he would lay down and go to sleep if I let him. I kept having to sort of kick him to keep him going. Everyone else had a frisky horse. It was so pretty. We got to see monkeys in the trees and these disgusting huge ants that march across the fields. Day 4 This was a snorkeling day. We don’t have snorkeling in New York. It was so cool to see the colors under the water. We took a little cruise boat through the forest. Felt like Disney World it was so pretty. We saw a baby crokadile in the water. Day 5 Today was got to go surfing. We don’t surf in New York. My parents took zillions of pictures of me when I stood up on my surfboard. I was only up for a second but it felt so good. It is so cool to surf. Day 6 I can’t remember, I think this was a beach day. Day 7 Today was jungle day. Colors and sounds and things I never heard of. We don’t have these things in New York. I saw monkeys, soughs, parrots, termites all over trees, a wild horse and lots of other things. We were in a National Park and we walked with our Naturalist Manuel. He could find everything in the trees. I tried but couldn’t find things until he told me where to look. My Mom said the same thing. My Dad found things on his own. My brother found sand crabs and wanted to take them home. Margo
