Central America Cruise Reviews: Sea VoyagerPanama Canal and Wonders of Costa Rica - March 2008The trip was fantastic! We both loved it—my Grandson was an outstanding travel companion—he got so much out of it—asked the best questions, was eager to participate in everything, had a great relationship with the naturalists and other adults on the trip (it was March Madness bracket-choosing time and he and several other men used some of their down time researching teams). Erasmo was the house manager again, and Isa one of the naturalists. The itinerary was terrific—it was thrilling to go through the Canal on a small ship (I had been there twice before but only on a large cruise ship), and staying overnight in Gatun Lake was great, as was the morning hike on Barro Colorado Island. Also, Bennie, who met us at the airport, took the whole group to the Panama Canal Visitors Center before boarding the boat, and that was exciting, too, as when I had been to the Canal before it was still a US military base and no tourists could approach the Canal from land. Both the Panama and Costa Rica island and coastal stops for hiking and snorkeling were excellent, and kayaking on the Rincon River of the Osa Peninsula was great. Altogether a very successful trip—even the COPA airlines connection coming back to Dulles worked fine. Thanks for your help and regards to all of you,
