Cruise Review: Spirit of Endeavour

Dear Linda,

Sorry for my tardiness in writing you, but we have been real busy playing catch-up at home and the office. Thank you for helping plan our vacation and with the logistics of the last minute ship change.

Our vacation was absolutely incredible. I was afraid that my expectations were too high and that I would be disappointed, but all of our expectations were exceeded. One day I can remember thinking what can beat that- in Tracy Arm we saw a huge 20 story calving glacier and literally felt the boat rock with the waves followed by a double rainbow as we cruised out of the fjord, and then the next morning woke up to our ship surrounded by humpback whales so close that you could hear them breathing, one of which was quite photogenic and fully breached right off the bow of the ship! After that the captain turned the boat back to locate some orca whales which again were very close to the ship. We saw more than I expected, and the crew and naturalists were just as excited as we were to see all of the wildlife. I am including a photo of us from our bus trip into Denali- yes, we even got to see most of the mountain.

Thanks again for a wonderful vacation. We will definitely cruise again with Cruise West, and refer you to our friends and family.
