Rome to Barcelona

This is a voyage devoted to leisurely days, sensual pleasures, Renaissance art and medieval architecture. Corsica, a prime spot for snorkeling. Then Elba, where Napoléon spent years in exile. Day 1 - Rome, Italy
Arrive in Rome, Italy, your gateway to Civitavechhia, and check into your included hotel.

Day 2 - Civitavechhia, Italy
Morning at leisure. Prior to embarkation, enjoy a highlight tour of Rome en route to the ship.

Day 3 - Bonifacio, Corsica, France
Take your time exploring the historic buildings of Bonifacio and be sure to savor the harbor view from a waterfront café.

Day 4 - Porto Azzurro, Elba, Italy
Lively and welcoming, Porto Azzurro is located at the tip of a promontory and was founded in 1603 by Filippo III of Spain.

Day 5 - Marina de Pisa, Italy
See the leaning tower of Pisa before heading to Florence, filled with the art of Michelangelo, including “David” at L’Academia.

Day 6 - Portovenere, Italy
This ancient Roman trading base, gateway to the Cinque Terre, is now a charming town of pastel houses, cobblestone lanes and views of the Ligurian Sea.

Day 7 - Portofino, Italy
Shop, explore or simply soak up the sun among the waterfront restaurants, cafés and boutiques in this Italian Riviera town.

Day 8 - Villefranche-sur-Mer, France
Visit Nice or Monte Carlo, the perfume capital of Grasse, the inland towns of Eze or St. Paul de Vence.

Day 9 - Riviera day cruising, France

Day 10 - Port-St.-Louis-du-Rhone (Camargue), France
La Camargue is an important wetland where you’ll see pink flamingos, wild white horses and black bulls in their habitat or visit historic Avignon.

Day 11 - Port Vendres, France
Lunch at the Narbonne Abbey on you way to Carcassone, Europe’s most complete example of a fortified medieval city.

Day 12 - Mahón, Menorca, Spain
Today we enter the Balearic Islands, landing in Menorca, the island’s capital, where you’ll enjoy the leisurely pace and local wine and cheese. (Zodiac landing or touring)

Day 13 - Pollensa Bay, Mallorca
Majorca, the largest of the Balearics, offers churches, cathedrals, beaches, culture and history in abundance. (Zodiac landing or touring)
