This 10-day Nile cruise voyage to Egypt takes you to Cairo and along the Nile, in the company of distinguished Egyptologists, who will show you the many remarkable aspects of ancient and modern Egypt.
On this hand-crafted Egypt cruise, you will see the artistic and scientific brilliance of the pharaohs, and the cultural vibrancy that has been maintained from the earliest settlements of the fertile Nile Valley to Egypt today. You visit bazaars alive with color and fragrant spices, and gain an appreciation for Egypt’s unique diversity.
A highlight will be a four-night Nile voyage aboard the superb 47-guest Salacia, perhaps the finest ship on the Nile. This Nile cruise is a true discovery of Egypt’s arts, religions and, of course, the awe-inspiring architecture.
The vision of a journey to Egypt is not simply about tourists, monuments and guides to explain these things. Rather, it is about getting to know Egypt through human experience.

Ships
Salacia
Few if any ships on the Nile match the quality and style of Salacia. The ship has been converted from a vessel for over 100 guests to one that accommodates just 47. Twenty-six large and well-appointed Junior Suites and one Master Suite all face outside, and there are multiple deck areas for viewing life along the river. There is a swimming pool, a spa, exercise area and plenty of space to just lounge and relax. Lunch is a sumptuous buffet sometimes served on deck, dinner is à la carte — and there is no set seating time. It’s a haven of elegance and service — too often lost in today’s world.
