Yorktown Clipper - 2002

Yorktown Clipper - May 2002

All of Clipper’s journeys feature onboard naturalists, historians or other experts, selected for the particular destination, who enhance the passengers’ enjoyment of the places visited. An Alaskan cruise aboard Clipper Cruise Line is perfect for travelers who like to be relaxed and who like to learn.

Another key to Clipper’s success is their onboard staff, both officers and crew, as well as hotel management, which is highly lauded by those who have sailed with the line. Their genuinely friendly, outgoing attitudes make passengers feel immediately at home. An intimate ambience is cultivated on board the moment you step onto one of Clipper’s ships.

There is no smoking permitted in any of the interior areas of any of Clipper's ships, only outside, on deck.

In September 1999, Clipper and its parent company, INTRAV, were purchased by Swiss-based Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd. Clipper continues to operate as a separate business entity in the marketplace.

The Ships

Yorktown Clipper

Yorktown Clipper in Alaska

The Yorktown Clipper was specifically designed for cruising in coastal waters; the ship's easy maneuverability and shallow draft enable exploration of secluded waterways beyond the reach of bigger ships.

A fleet of motorized landing craft can be launched in minutes for spontaneous landings on small islands and deserted beaches.

Historians and/or naturalists will be aboard the Yorktown Clipper to explain the cultural and natural history of the places you visit and to enhance your enjoyment and appreciation of these destinations.

The Yorktown Clipper is air-conditioned and heated throughout. Each stateroom has individual controls to meet your personal requirements.

The U.S. dollar is the standard currency on board the Yorktown Clipper. While your cruise includes most necessities, including all meals, it is strongly recommended that you carry your spending money in traveler’s checks.

An e-mail service is available for passenger use on board.
