Sunstone Tours & Cruises small ship adventures for discerning travelers®

Glacier Bay Cruiseline

Glacier Bay Cruiseline is not your ordinary small-ship adventure cruiseline. They offer trips tailored for outdoor enthusiasts. When they create a voyage, they assemble an expedition team. They hand-pick their  Naturalists, Guides, Captains and Crew–all dedicated in their respective fields. All for this one goal: to create the best adventure possible for you.

Glacier Bay Cruiseline was the first to introduce kayaks into cruise itineraries. Their ships sail with more kayaks than any other cruise line afloat.

Join Glacier Bay Cruiseline's All-American crew on your Alaska or Columbia River adventure. Your days will be filled with freshly prepared meals as you discover the wonders of these regions. They offer the highest crew to guest ratio and they make every day of your journey a memorable one.

Itineraries

Alaska

8 Day / 7 Night Glacier Bay Cruise

The Perfect Combination of Ports and Activities. The best of both worlds, this itinerary was especially crafted to blend adventure activities with visits to our favorite ports. Spend a day touring Alaska's ports and the next sea kayaking in a spectacular fjord. Between adventures, relax on deck, but keep on the lookout! Your Captain and crew alert you to wildlife. This is a voyage of stories - ones you hear and the ones you tell, thanks to the memories you take home. Learn about Alaska's Gold Rush and its tales of woe and wonder.

Glacier Bay Cruise

Only twice a year do you have this opportunity to cruise the original Klondike Gold Rush Stampede route from Seattle to Juneau - and save a bundle of your own ’gold’ in the process. These special nine-night cruises feature the beautiful coastlines of both Alaska’s and Canada's Inside Passages plus Washington’s Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands and British Columbia’s Gulf Islands.

8 Day / 7 Night Glacier Bay Cruise

Imagine, an entire week without crowds, tourist shops or roads. Your days are spent exploring Alaska on foot, by kayak and small excursion craft as you wind your way past hidden inlets and around misty islands. Our belief is that a pod of feeding whales, mountain goats perched on the cliffs and birds diving for their supper are sights too important to miss in this lifetime. This route is designed for spontaneity, flexible enough to accommodate nature's everyday surprises as you explore the untamed wilderness of Alaska's Inside Passage.

7 Day / 6 Night Glacier Bay Cruise

The Ultimate Glacier Bay Experience. What awakens you every morning at home? Surely not the calving of ice into the sea or a humpback whale breaching. It is time to reset your expectations on how different a cruise can be as we devote an entire six nights to exploration and kayaking. Our focus: Glacier Bay National Park, the eighth wonder of the world. We spend as much time here as possible exploring by sea kayak and on foot. This is expedition-style adventure made easy as we have taken care of all the details: backcountry permits, kayaks, gear, accommodations and food. All you bring is your enthusiasm and hearty sense of adventure. Each day you kayak with your guide and small group on a full day of off-vessel exploration. A higher level of physical exertion is required. Each afternoon, return to your vessel where a delicious meal, shower and good company await. As you slumber, your vessel brings you to another dramatic landscape and a new kayaking adventure. You soon discover why this is a unique cruise concept-unlike any cruise in Alaska.

Columbia River

Columbia River

The only cruise of its kind on the Columbia. At the end of this eight-day journey you will be a bona fide River Rat. It all begins with a cruise out of Portland on the lazy Willamette. The journey continues as you navigate the mighty Columbia and all of its eight locks. Experience the thrill of a jetboat ride up the Snake. Watch for wildlife as you kayak on the Palouse and view the impressive scenery along the Columbia River Gorge.

The Ships
