This is the perfect expedition for people short of time and reluctant to cross the Drake on a ship. The Drake Passage crossing is reduced to two hours by flying from Punta Arenas, Chile, to King George Island in the South Shetlands. A quick crossing doesn't reduce the time you spend in Antarctica. The ship explores the Peninsula for 5-days, the same amount of time as any other expedition.

The Ross Sea coast extends from the ice shelf northwards until it reaches the very tip of Victoria Land and Cape Adare. During our time in the Ross Sea Region we will attempt a variety of opportunistic landings, subject to weather conditions.

We plan on visiting Antarctica's Aitchoo and Deception Island in the Shetlands and several Antarctic off-shore islands such as Pleneau, Paulet and Petermann. On the Peninsula itself, we will attempt landings at Paradise Bay, Port Lockroy and Brown Bluff. Other highlights may include sailing into the Weddell Sea via the Antarctic Sound (Iceberg Alley), and cruising the spectacular Lemaire Channel, nicknamed 'Kodak Gap.'
