Travel nearly 2,000 miles from Anchorage to Nome and the Arctic Circle on our northernmost journey to the farthest reaches of the Bering Sea. Sail the rugged coastline of Kenai Fjords National Park and through a maze of icebergs in Prince William Sound. Explore the tidal pools and stark tundra of the Shumagin Islands and watch for fur seals, reindeer, puffins and auklets around the Pribilof Islands. Cross the Arctic Circle at the International Date Line and scan the nutrient-rich water for minkes, humpback and bowhead whales. Enjoy a warm welcome and a glimpse into Russia's Far East, where Natives still follow traditions their ancestors embraced thousands of years ago. Journey by motorcoach and deluxe railcar to Denali National Park and Preserve, home of the great Mt. McKinley, teeming with moose, grizzly bear and caribou.

Cruise Itinerary
14 Days / 13 Nights - Roundtrip from Anchorage
- Day 1 - Arrive in Anchorage
- Transfer to the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel.
- Day 2 - Sail from Whittier
- Enjoy a tour that includes a visit to the Anchorage Museum of History and Art. Transfer by motorcoach to Whittier to board the Spirit of Oceanus and begin your cruise, sailing through Prince William Sound. BD
- Day 3 - Wilderness Cruising
- The waters between the Alaska mainland and Kodiak Island are filled with intrigue. Hug the rugged coastline of Kenai Fjords National Park. Your Captain will determine the best spots to explore today based on the local conditions. BLD
- Day 4 - Kodiak
- Visit the Baranov Museum, the Alutiiq Museum and the Fish Tech Center, all in Alaska's first Russian American settlement. BLD
- Day 5 - Katmai National Park
- Be on the lookout for brown bears digging for clams as you explore remote Geographic Harbor, a resting spot for migrating birds like the Arctic tern. BLD
- Day 6 - Shumagin Islands
- Conditions permitting, visit the Shumagins via inflatable excursion craft to explore tidal pools and the tundra. Marvel at the 8,200-foot Pavlov Volcano and keep an eye out for seals and sea lions on Haystack Rocks. BLD
- Day 7 - Dutch Harbor
- Here on Unalaska Island in the Aleutians, sightseeing includes the Museurn of the Aleutians, and the World War II Memorial Park. BLD
- Day 8 - Pribilof Islands
- On St. George, local guides take you to prerniurn viewing sites to see fur seals and seabirds, including puffins, auklets and murres. BLD
- Day 9 - Wildernss Exploration
- Stop at remote islands such as Nunivak, part of the Yukon Delta
National Wildlife Refuge, and look for wild musk oxen and reindeer. BLD
- Days 10-12 - Exploring the Bering Sea
- Clear customs into Russia and take a tour of Provideniya. Search the rugged shoreline of Russia's Chukotka
Peninsula. In three days of flexible exploration, you may also visit:
- Little Diomede Separated from Russia's Big Diomede by less than two miles and the International Date Line.
- Novoye Chapuno This Russian Yupik village claims ethnic kinship to Eskimos in Alaska.
- Savoogna Hailed as the "Walrus Capital of the World." The Natives here are subsistence hunters and ivory carvers, living off the sea and land. These Alaskan Eskimos travel around their treeless domain by all-terrain vehicles. BLD
- Yanrakynnot Chukchi subsistence hunters venture from this village to hunt walrus, whales, and other sea creatures. A fascinating archaeological site. Whale Bone Alley, runs along the shore for many miles. BLD
- Day 13 - The Arctic Circle
- Cruise far north and (depending on the
conditions) cross the Arctic Circle at the International Date Line. Possible whale
sightings include minkes, humpbacks and
bowheads. BLD
- Day 14 - Nome to Anchorage
- Explore this frontier community with an
included tour of a working dog kennel
and a chance to pan for gold right on the
beaches of Nome. Fly to Anchorage for
your flight home. BLD

the high trestle at Hurricane Gulch, and ascend via Broad Pass into the Alaska
Range. The domed cars allow spectacular
views on both sides of the train, including
(when weather permits) sweeping views
of snowcapped peaks and Mt. McKinley.
Also known as "Denali, the Great One," the
highest mountain in North America soars to
20,320 feet. Lunch is available for purchase
aboard the train. On arrival, enjoy an
exclusive presentation by a naturalist from
the Denali Education Center and overnight
at a comfortable Denali hotel. BD
- Day 16 - Denali Exploration
- An expert guide takes you on your chosen bus tour* into Denali National Park to look
for wildlife and experience summer in the subalpine tundra. Following your Park tour, you have time to enjoy the Park on your own or venture out with any of the optional
rafting, flightseeing or other adventure excursions we can arrange for you. B
- Day 17 - Denali National Park to Fairbanks
- Travel north to Fairbanks by comfortable motorcoach. You will have a delightful day of sightseeing, including a visit to the University of Alaska Museum of the North and a ride down the Chena River on an authentic sternwheeler riverboat. Riverboats have been one of the most popular means of transportation in the north for over a century. Overnight at Pike's Waterfront Lodge on the banks of the clear, beautiful Chena River. BLD
- Day 18 - Flight Home
- Transfer to the Fairbanks Airport for your flight home.
