Itinerary:
DAY 1 -
Sail from Juneau
Board your yacht after an included
city tour this afternoon. Your crew
greets you with champagne and
smiles, and we’ll cruise to a secluded
anchorage this evening.
DAYS 2-3 -
Glaciers and Whales
Come face to face with massive
glaciers and floating icebergs in
Alaska’s majestic fjords. Watch for
mountain goats, bears and harbor
seals, and make sure to join your
Expedition Leader on deck as we
search for whales and porpoise.
DAYS 4-5 -
Alaskan Towns
and Passages
We’ll discover Alaska’s people
and culture during our visits to
Petersburg and Meyer’s Chuck,
learning from local experts and
residents as we go. Our Expedition
Leader will guide us into the
rain forest on a nature walk, and
we’ll have ample opportunities
for kayaking in pristine wilderness
coves and passages.
DAY 6 -
Misty Fjords
National Monument
Set aside for its dramatic scenery
and unique geologic and human
histories, Misty Fjords is a gem in
the wilderness. Marvel at 3,000-foot
cliffs laced with waterfalls and
search for bears, sea birds and
deer as we explore by kayak and
inflatable launch.
DAYS 7-8 -
Ketchikan and Wilderness
Upon arriving in Ketchikan,
we’ll enjoy a very special, private
tour of Saxman Village, a Tlingit
Indian community, with local tribal
member Joe Williams. Explore
a clan house and discover the
stories behind the totem poles
that line the avenues. Back
onboard, recline on deck as we
cruise among forested islands
and scenic passages. We’ll anchor
in a quiet cove, kayak and simply
relax during our final day’s journey.
Relive the experiences of our trip
during a festive Farewell Dinner.
